To celebrate the five-year anniversary of arabbitshole, our team, Daylon Hicks (Founder and Creative Director), Tony Holman (Videographer), and Diego Paredes (Community Partner Manager) returned to where it all began: Joaquin Miller Park. Filming a new deeper dig in the place where we started the first deeper dig allowed us to reflect on how far we’ve come and how much the project has evolved from a personal creative outlet into a platform rooted in storytelling, creatvity and community.

In this Deeper Dig, we revisited past projects and shared the individual journeys that shaped each of us as creatives. From Daylon’s appreciation for design, to Tony’s visual approach, to Diego’s well-versed presence in getting involved with events and being present, we explored how our perspectives have developed over the years and how our combined experiences have formed the identity of arabbitshole. A major theme was our commitment to being well-versed—embracing versatility in our skills, our influences, and the stories we choose to tell.

We also discussed how we plan to push arabbitshole’s visual identity into its next phase. From refining our aesthetic direction to experimenting with new narrative techniques, we’re focused on elevating the look, feel, and emotional depth of everything we create. This past year has already pushed us creatively through event coverage and collaborations with partners like Adobe, the Asian Art Museum, and others who have challenged us to think bigger and execute at a higher level.

This year marked a major period of growth for us, revealing just how essential attention to detail is in everything we create. From the way we craft visuals to the way we shape narratives, we’ve seen how the smallest choices can elevate a project’s impact. Moving forward, we’re committed to amplifying that level of care even further, pushing ourselves to refine, polish, and innovate in ways that make our work not only stronger, but unforgettable.

As we move into year six, our vision is clear, continue expanding our storytelling, strengthen our visual identity, and build meaningful work that resonates far beyond the moment, because we are only just getting started.
