that good sh*t in san francisco published by daylon hicks

That Good Sh*t, the platform known for elevating live music, curated events, discovery-driven playlists, and rising artists, had their West Coast Tour to Brick & Mortar in San Francisco on November 13, 2025. With the lineup featuring Maxo, Detahaje, Igwe Aka, and Quincy Davis, with DJ sets from Chase Hall and Annabelle Kline, plus a special guest appearance from Ovrkast, each artist bringing their own energy while feeding off the crowd’s momentum. What made the event unique was the way it brought together a wide range of hip-hop styles and DJ-driven sets, creating a dynamic mix of sounds that kept the energy high while strengthening the sense of connection between everyone in the room.

As attendees ourselves, we were able to experience the night firsthand, allowing us to observe the energy up close from the artists onstage to the crowd on the floor and truly understand how the event was important for those present.
From our perspective, the moment we stepped inside Brick & Mortar, the room was very passion and community driven. The night wasn’t just a showcase; it was an example of what they stand for. Their team has always placed community at the forefront of the work that they do, and in this setting, that intention was felt instantly. You could see it in the way artists supported one another, in the conversations happening between sets, and in the crowd’s willingness to show up early, stay late, and genuinely engage.

What made the night powerful was how seamlessly the platform’s ethos translated into the physical space. Music wasn’t just the centerpiece, it was the connector. Every performance added a new spark, building a collective energy that turned the venue into something more than a stop on a tour. It became a reminder of why community-focused spaces matter, and how they are able to continue pushing their platform forward, by creating moments that feel real, memorable, and shared.
